Indoor 300 Round Tournament

View the event calendar for the current year's event details.

MSAA State Indoor Tournament has matured into one of the largest archery tournaments held annually in the nation. Each year the Indoor is hosted by a different MSAA affiliated club at a different location.

Participating in the Indoor is a two-step process:

  • A participant must first shoot a qualifying score in their chosen division and class at a Regional Qualifying Round.

  • The participant then goes on to to compete in the Indoor itself.

The distances that paticipants shoot at are 20 yards for Adults, Young Adults (15-17), and Youth (12-14), and 10 yards for Cubs (8-11) and Junior Cub (7 and under).

Hundreds of archers attend the indoor each year and hundreds more turn out to watch. Do not miss out on this archery spectacle, make plans now to attend the next Indoor Tournament!

MSAA 300 Round

This is a popular round that is nearly identical to those shot by other local and national archery groups. It is a round that is often shot during archery club leagues.

Participants can choose to shoot the single or 5-spot target.

  • Scoring on the single-spot is X-5-4-3-2-1

  • Scoring on the 5-spot is X-5-4, with any arrow missing the scoring rings awarded a score of 0.

During the round a participant will shoot 70 arrows total - 10 for warmup and 60 for score. A perfect score is 300 with 60 X's.

Arrows are shot in a group of 5 called an 'end'.

Regional Qualifiers for the State Indoor

The Regional Qualifying Round is generally held during the last two weekends in January and the first weekend in February and the Indoor typically takes place near the beginning of April. Regional Round sites are spread out all across the state.

The Regional Qualifying Round is used to set up the flighting for the Indoor tournament itself. Flighting is used to group archers with similar shooting ability into groups that compete independently for awards at the Indoor.
