Division and Class Restrictions and notices
A. Junior Division Archers (Young Adult, Youth, Cub, Junior Cub)
Junior Division archers may not compete with or against archers of an older or opposite gender division in any official State Championship tournament, unless item 2. (below) has been exercised.
Junior Division archers may elect to compete in any higher age division, junior or adult, with approval of the MSAA and written parental consent. The signed consent must be submitted to and received by the MSAA Secretary no later than one week before competing in a higher division. Once this option has been exercised, the archer may not revert back.
B. Open Class
Once an individual shoots in the Open Class, they will remain in that class for the rest of the calendar year.
The Open Class payout shall be a money purse.
The Open Class payout awards according to MSAA Payout formula.
The Open Class purse fee shall be collected as a portion of the tournament fee for the class. The tournament Director shall coordinate with the host club the holding and payout of the purse.
The tournament Director shall obtain a receipt form the purse winners if the purse is paid out in cash. If the purse is paid out by check the canceled check shall be the receipt.
Open Class participants may compete in the Traditional (TRAD) and NAA classes without conflicting their Open Class status.
