The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) plays a crucial role in managing the state's natural resources, including wildlife populations. As part of their ongoing efforts to gather valuable insights and feedback from hunters, the DNR is requesting hunters in Minnesota to participate in a survey about their hunting experiences.

By taking the time to answer questions related to deer hunting, deer damage, and other deer-related issues, hunters can actively contribute to shaping regulations for the upcoming 2024 hunting season. Participating in the survey is an opportunity for hunters to share their experiences, challenges, and suggestions regarding deer hunting in Minnesota.

The survey covers various aspects of deer hunting, such as hunting methods, crossbow regulations, locations, management of chronic wasting disease (CWD), the impact of predators on deer populations and success rates. It also addresses issues related to deer damage, including crop and property damage caused by deer populations. By understanding these challenges, the DNR can develop strategies to mitigate deer damage while maintaining healthy and sustainable deer populations.

Participating in the survey is simple and can be done online. (Take the survey) The DNR has made the survey easily accessible, allowing hunters to complete it at their convenience. The information provided by hunters is confidential and will only be used for research and analysis purposes.

So make your voice heard. Participate in the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' hunting survey and help shape the future of deer hunting in the state for the 2024 hunting season.

If you would like to discuss the survey or have any questions please contact Mark LaTourelle, Bowhunter VP at bowhuntervp.msaa@mnarchery.org.
